There also will be Packet Pick up available at Franklin Park after completion of Kids Tri the Valley until Noon don't forget your ID!.

Every athlete must pick up their own packet and show a valid picture ID and a USAT Card (or purchase a 1 day membership).  If you forgot any of those two items don’t get mad at us as you drive back to retrieve them.  There are absolutely NO EXCEPTIONS to this rule.

Transition Area – The TA is a secure place for various reasons.  Safety is a major concern and for this you must walk your bike out of and into the TA.  Please watch for other athletes entering and exiting the TA.  We will secure TA as best as we can and we ask that if you finish your event you wait until the last bike goes out on the course before you remove your gear.  We cannot be held responsible for lost or stolen gear.  There will be Race Staff there to ensure proper flow in and out of TA but your job is to know the course and directions.

Swim Start- This is an outdoor pool snake style swim.  You will start on the right side of the lane on the right side of the pool.  When you go the length and reach the other end of the pool 25 yards away push off or flip turn and come back the opposite side of the lane you started on.  When you completed that length you go under the next lane’s divider and start your next length and repeat until you get to the 300 yard mark and run out of pool.

We need to have the accurate estimated swim finish times for every athlete to line them up accordingly.  This is important to have an even flow for all athletes but congestion will occur and there is a passing rule of “foot tapping”.  If you feel your feet tapped go to the next wall and let them pass.  If you need to pass please tap the athlete’s feet in front of you and they will allow you to go around.  Athletes will have a 10 to 15 second between them as a buffer zone.

Race NumbersIn your race packet you will have three race numbers that you must have in the appropriate places in order to participate in the event.

Run Number – This is the largest number in the packet.  You must have this facing front during the bike and run portion of the event.  If you use a race belt great if not safety pins work.

Helmet Number – The smallest number is a peel and stick number to be stuck to the front of the helmet.

Bike Number - Number get fixed to your bike frame.

The numbers are for athlete identification as well as photographers.

Body Marking This will be completed by the LoCo Racing Staff the morning of the event upon arrival.

Bike Course – The bike course is open to vehicular traffic in the rural roads of Western Loudoun.  It is your job to know, understand, and follow the rules of the road as well as USAT’s regulations.  We highly recommend you come out prior to the event and drive the bike course to see the beauty of Round Hill.
