Packet Pick Up - Note: Participants must collect his/ her own event packets. Photo ID is required in order to collect event materials. NO ID = NO EVENT. Hint if you take a photo of your Identification and have it on your phone that will be sufficient ID. ALL USAT annual members must show a valid USAT membership card or pay the one day membership fee ($12)
North Mountain Duathlon
This is a event for everyone. A short cross country run followed by a scenic bike ride through the historic areas of Berkeley County, WV and finishing with a cross country run within the beautiful setting of Poor House Farm Park.
Relays are available on all events if you wish to get a group together to complete an event. We allow youth to participate in the run(s). We only ask a 15+ year old do the bike portion.
North Mountain Sprint Duathlon -
Saturday
22 June starting at 8 am the Annual North Mountain Sprint Triathlon
will start. The .80 of a mile (8/10ths) run will be exciting and
fast around the bottom portion of Poor House Farm Park. After a quick
transition the athletes will head out to the rural roads of Berkeley
County cycling the very roads that George Washington himself rode on
horseback many years ago to complete a 11 mile bike course.
Finally, after a second transition the athletes will run a
cross
country 2.4 mile course through a finish line to receive a victory medal.The Duathlon will be open to
athletes 15
and over.
Relays - If you want to share the experience with friends we have relay options available. We will allow a youth athlete to do one or both legs of the run event as long as the cyclist is over 15 years old.
