registration or packet-pickup on race day! Each athlete MUST show valid I.D.
(drivers license) and USAT card . If you forgot your ID or membership card don’t hate us as
you drive back to get it. The athlete
must pick up the packet in PERSON due to insurance liability concerns. NO EXCEPTIONS! Food and
refreshments will be available for the athletes and lots more available at Race Numbers – In your race packet you
will have three race numbers that you must have in the appropriate places in
order to participate in the event. Run Number – This is the largest
number in the packet. You must have this
facing front during the bike and run portion of the event. If you use a race belt great if not safety
pins work. Helmet Number – The smallest number
is a peel and stick number to be stuck to the front of the helmet. Body Marking – This will be completed
by the LoCo
Racing
Staff the morning of the event upon arrival. Transition Area – The TA is a secure
place for various reasons. Safety is a
major concern and for this you must walk your bike out of and into the TA. Please watch for other athletes entering and
exiting the TA. Swim Start – Each wave has different
distances. Wave 1 will start and
complete one length of the pool, exit the pool and walk out of the pool area
and head to transition. Wave 2 will be
one lap where the athlete will swim on the right side of lane 1 and touch the
opposite wall and return on the left side of the same lane. Wave 3 and 4 will be a snake swim where the
athlete will swim on the right side of lane one touch the opposite wall and
return on the left side of the same lane then go under the rope into the next
lane to the left and repeat the process until the distance is completed. They will then exit the pool and walk out of
the pool area then head to transition. Dropping Out – If you must drop out of the event it is imperative to inform a LoCo Racing volunteer.
